magnets, wires and magic
I’m currently working on a very small wind-turbine project with the working title Little Jenny. It is very similar in size to Hugh Piggott’s 1200 machine and if you’re not familiar with Hugh’s designs you might not follow the rest of my blog!
It is really an exploration of Hugh’s excellent design in other materials…. I’ve been wondering a few things for years now and the only way to find out the answers is to try. Can these machines be made without welding? Can whiffy resins be avoided? What other ways can wooden blades be made?
It’s a work in progress and I’ll update as I go. I hope to have the machine up and running by May.
